Pastor Rick Crocker grew up as a ‘preacher’s kid’ under the ministry of his father, the late Rev. Harold R. Crocker. Rick began serving the congregation while just a teenager as the church organist, and eventually as the choir director and music minister. In the 1990’s, Rick came on staff as Pastor of Administration and Director of Youth Ministries. In 2004, Rick became our pastor at the time of his dad’s retirement.
In addition to his ministry to our congregation, Rick is also active in the Eastern North Carolina Advent Christian Conference (a regional collection of AC churches) and is a vital part of our conference’s ministry through Camp Dixie, near Fayetteville, NC.
Pastor Rick loathes neckties, and instead, prefers khakis and plaid shirts. He has even been known to come to the pulpit in shorts and a t-shirt, much to his mother’s chagrin.
