Maybe you’ve heard a country song by Keith Urban that says, “I learned everything I needed to know from John Cougar, John Deere, and John 3:16.”

I don’t mean this to knock country music or its fans at all, and of course who doesn’t love John 3:16 as well as John Deere and maybe even John “Cougar” Mellencamp. In fact, I kinda like the song; it’s a catchy tune! But it does seem like a pretty simplistic mindset, right? Maybe you agree or not, but you know there are plenty of people who feel pretty much the same when Jesus says, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” John 14:6

Many ask, “Why is there only one way to God?” For people who embrace the Bible as truth the answer has to be, “because of who said it!” Our faith as Christians doesn’t leave any room for discussion or disagreement when it comes to Jesus and the authority that He claims. Sure, there are plenty of other opinions, but according to the Word of God, there’s only one right answer! Jesus, in fact, goes on to clearly say, “No one comes to the Father except by me.” This isn’t a song you can change the station on. This isn’t a message that should be ignored. Like it or not, it is given to us as a responsibility to share with others! How can there be any light in the world if it is not shared by those who have it? Shine brightly!
